Littlewolf, Johnny: Walking On

Yakima, Washington

Funeral services were held for JOHNNY LITTLEWOLF, on April 24, at the Toppenish Longhouse. Interment followed at the McCoy Cemetery, southeast of Toppenish. Johnny was born October 9, 1957. He passed away April 21, 2012, at the Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center after suffering from a lifetime illness.
    
Johnny attended school at McKinley Community, Washington, and stayed at the McKinley Mission until the 11th grade. Johnny had worked since the age of 14 years and helped his aunt and uncle in the agricultural fields. He also worked various labor jobs for Snokist, Del Monte, and for the Yakama Nation Housing Authority for 12 years. Over the years, his hobbies included woodcutting and playing pool. Johnny was mostly known for being an avid fisherman and hunter. (Yakama Nation Review, April 27, 2012)
