Keams, Paul: Walking On (2)

Holbrook, Arizona

Funeral services were held for PAUL KEAMS, 67, on February 8, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment followed at Holbrook. Paul was born August 9, 1945, in Keams Canyon, Arizona. He passed away February 3, 2012, in Flagstaff.
   
Paul attended high school at Albuquerque Indian School and Haskell Indian School where he was trained as an electrician. Paul was a Vietnam veteran honorably discharged in 1971. He was a point man with his platoon and was awarded the Bronze Star with valor and Army commendation medal with valor. He served with Company C, 1st Battalion, 7th Infantry, and 3rd Infantry Division in Europe. He later was employed as an electrician by Arizona Public Service/Bechtel Corp. in Page, Arizona; at the Cholla Power Plant in Joseph City, Arizona; and at the Coronado Generating Station in Springville, Arizona. He was a member of IBEW Local 1248 in Phoenix. He loved to read, attend rodeos, and visit with family. (Navajo Times, February 9, 2012)
