Jim, John Jesse: Walking On

Toppenish, Washington

WASHINGTON, Toppenish - Funeral services were held for JOHN JESSE JIM, 37, on October 21. Interment followed at the Satus Point Cemetery. John was born July 17, 1974, in The Dalles, Oregon. He passed away October 19, 2011, at Toppenish.
   
John was a 1995 graduate of White Swan High School and a lifetime Columbia River Fisherman. In his younger years, he reigned as Brave for the Celilo Wyam, and mid-Columbia River and Mat-a-lyma. He was one of the biggest contributors tot he annual Mid-Columbia River Mask Dance. He loved to travel to powwows, to medicine dances, to visit family, and he especially loved going to casinos.
