Funeral services were held for RUTH MARIE DOXTATOR, 77, on February 4, 2011, at Ryan Funeral Home in DePere, Wisconsin. Interment followed at the Oneida Nation Cemetery. Ruth was born November 12, 1934. She passed away January 30, 2011.
For many years, Ruth, also known as Cookie, worked at Elderly Services in Oneida, being employed as a cook. Cookie enjoyed several hobbies in her life, especially ones as a cook at several community weddings, and those helping at funerals in the community. Cookie enjoyed watching powwows, especially liked to cook for those dancers. Cookie helped and loved caring for her grandkids. She was especially kind to all animals, especially her cats, and any/all animals in the area. Cookie was a kind-hearted soul, who enjoyed helping. (Kalihwisaks, February 10, 2011)
