Dominick, Max D.: Choctaw Member Walking On

Stillwater, Oklahoma March 2011

MAX D. DOMINICK, 75, passed away December 7, 2010, in Stillwater. He was born  April 15, 1935.

Max was proud of his Choctaw heritage from his mother’s side. Max grew up on the small ranch and roamed the hills hunting, fishing, riding horses and being a boy. He attended Linwood and Hartshorne schools. He graduated from Wilburton High School and was part of the first generation of his family to attend college, graduating from Eastern Junior College with an Associate Degree in engineering in 1955.H later moved to Stillwater to attend Oklahoma State University where he graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Agricultural Engineering in 1958 He then went to work full time for the Soil Conservation Service. Max retired in 1990 with 35 years of public service and received many awards for his work throughout his distinguished career.
