Fox, Emma Therese


OREGON, Prineville – EMMA THERESE FOX, 94, passed away October 8, 2010. She was born June 10, 1916, in Burns, Oregon.

    Emma attended school at Ft. Bidwell, California; Warm Springs, and Chemawa School in Salem, Oregon. After school she moved to Burns and was a cook at the Day School. Emma traveled with her husband on various road construction jobs in most of Eastern Oregon and started a family. After her husband passed away in 1971, she moved back to Burns and was a homemaker. She then moved to John Day in 1979, then to Prineville in 1988, and was active at the Senior Center there. Her hobbies included playing pinnacle, bingo, reading, leather works, baking, digging roots, fishing, hunting, playing marbles, telling stories and visiting with her family.
