Crowe, Edward Paul

OREGON, Pendleton – Funeral services were held for EDWARD PAUL CROWE, 63,  at the Pi-Nee-Waus Community Center. Interment followed at the Nez Perce Tribal Cemetery in Lapwai, Idaho. Edward was born May 23, 1947, in Orofino, Idaho. He passed away October 18, 2010, at his home.

An enrolled member of the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, Edward graduated from Orofino and enlisted in the Army. After serving in the Army he returned and began working as a long-haul truck driver for many years. His next career was working with Fish & Game, and he began his law enforcement career with Bureau  of Indian Affairs Police
Department. He was stationed at Camp Verde, Arizona, and later with the Lapwai Police Department. He retired from law enforcement and moved to Pendleton with his wife. Edward enjoyed working at Wildhorse Resort & Casino before retiring due to his health. (Confederated Umatilla Journal, November 2010)
