Enick, Daniel James

IDAHO, Lapwai – Funeral services were held for DANIEL JAMES ENICK, 50, on September 18, 2010, at the Pi Nee Waus Community Center in Lapwai. Daniel was born July 2, 1960, in Lewiston, Idaho. He passed away September 15, 2010, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston.

    Daniel was a member of the Nez Perce Tribe and attended school off and an at Tacoma and Lapwai schools. He left school in the ninth grade to pursue a life-time fishing career. Throughout his life he worked as a farm laborer, firefighter, carpenter, on a rock crusher and all-around “Indian Provider”. Any season you could see Dan at home making a net, getting ready to go hunting or making jerky. He enjoyed his music and he was famous for his jerky, smoked salmon and homemade noodles.
