Officials release name of Lodge Pole crash victim

Billings, Montana (AP) May 2011

The Montana Highway Patrol has released the name of a 34-year-old Lame Deer woman who died in a weekend crash near Lodge Pole.

Trooper Jeffrey Martin tells KTVQ-TV that Russellyn Plainfeather was southbound on Route 112 at about 6:30 a.m. May 7th when she veered too far to the right while going around a curve. She then overcorrected, causing her van to spin and roll multiple times. Plainfeather was ejected and died at the scene.

Fort Belknap Tribal Police and the FBI are investigating the crash.
