Reservation meth seller gets 60 months in prison

Phoenix, Arizona (AP) November 2010

A Maricopa man has been sentenced to 60 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to selling methamphetamine.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office says 38-year-old Arnulfo Arrellanes was caught distributing methamphetamine on the Ak-Chin Indian Reservation near Casa Grande.

Prosecutors say Arrellanes and a second man sold methamphetamine to an undercover police officer on five separate occasions.

The second defendant, 65-year-old Ruperto Lopez-Rodriguez, was sentenced in September to 18 months in prison for pleading guilty to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.
