The Adam Beach Film Institute began as a dream of Adam Beach, who desired to see more Aboriginal youth find a better way in life through film. Seeing a strong need for the development of a way through telling our story through film, Adam began to seek out support for his vision.
Adam Beach was raised on the Dog Creek First Nations Reserve and has appeared in over 60 films and television programs. From movies such as ‘Dance Me Outside’ to ‘Cowboys and Aliens’ and tv shows like Law and Order SVU.
In early 2012, an initial donation from San Gold Corporation enabled Adam to begin to see the realization of his dream and January 2013 is the target date for the institute’s official launch.
