Funeral services were held for ANGELA IDETTE MCCORMICK, 42, at the Pi-Nee-Waus Community Center in Lapwai. Interment followed at the Grant family cemetery in Lapwai. Angela was born February 17, 1970, in Lewiston, Idaho. She passed away May 17, at the family home in Lapwai.
    
Angela attended school at Webster Elementary and Jenifer Junior High, and graduated from Lewiston High School in 1988. She was a member of the Honor Society and participated in varsity basketball and softball for three years. After graduation, she attended Wenatchee Valley Community College on a softball scholarship, where she earned her associate’s degree. She later attended Lewis-Clark State College and earned a BS in business administration. Upon completion of college, Angel was employed with the Nez Perce Tribe in the Environmental Restoration Waste Department. Angel then transferred to the federal government as an environmental specialist with the Outreach Information Division Community Tribal Program Groups in North Carolina until her passing. Angel was an avid horse lover, softball player, traveler and overall outdoorsman. She loved spending time with her pride and joys, her daughters. (Ta’c Tito’oqan News, June 2012)
