The Old Pony: LCO man beats high gas prices by riding bike

Mike Taylor has been riding his bike around the Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation in northern Wisconsin for the past fifteen years.

Lately, with gas prices pushing over $4.00 a gallon perhaps lots of people drive by him worrying about getting to the gas station, and maybe how they are going to pay for the gas.

While biking keeps him slim and trim the present situation with skyrocketing gasoline prices has very little impact upon him, other than noticing that there are more hitchhikers around sharing the road.

You can find Taylor riding the many road of the reservation, including during the deep winter when all you can see is his reflectors and hooded figure as you go buy.
